Tales Tombstones Tell

Join the West Chicago City Museum for our 27th Annual Tales Tombstones Tell on Saturday, October 8th at Glen Oak Cemetery, on Arbor Avenue between National and Hawthorne. Tours begin at 1:00 pm and start off every 10 minutes thereafter, with the last tour starting at 2:30 pm. Tours last approximately 45 minutes and no reservations are necessary. If the weather is inclement the program is cancelled.

Costumed interpreters will tell the stories of some of the families who have helped to shape our community. Photographs from the Museum's large local history collection will also be on display during the afternoon event. The program is appropriate for families and is based on our community’s history.

Parking will be available at any of the Reed-Keppler Park parking lots off of Arbor and a shuttle will run from the Park District's Turtle Splash Parking lot located at 129 W. National Street to the Cemetery.

Although the program is free, donations are appreciated. For more information please call the Museum at (630) 231-3376 or email us at museum@westchicago.org.
